It’s built from an all-solid construction of AAA+ Alaskan Sitka spruce on the top, followed by solid African mahogany back and sides, all coated in a gloss finish. The rosewood and maple binding are matched by the body bracing, offering a deeply resonant voice — bright, shimmering highs with a deep and detailed low end.
The African mahogany neck boasts a C-profile shape, home to a smooth African ebony fingerboard, with mother-of-pearl dolphin inlays and a New Zealand shell handcraft inlay rosette. The D1-130 is set up using the Plek fingerboard dress and nut system, with every guitar being settled in a vibration room for fourteen days, leaving the instrument well adjusted and ready to play.
